Gem in the East End

Gem in the East End

As a home stager, I am privileged to see many different homes – various sizes and styles, all with their own unique features. At one of my latest staging projects, I met amazing homeowners who completely renovated a home and added lots of interesting features inside. After renovating the home for two years on their own, they’ve finally decided to list this hidden gem in the heart of Scarborough.

The main floor had reclaimed wood sliding barn doors that added visual interest to an otherwise standard entryway to the kitchen. The room was flooded with light from the big bay window and strategically placed pot lights throughout.

The bedroom had beautiful doors with frosted glass which created a illusion of space with the light flooding through the doors. We worked with the space by adding stylish furniture and accessories.

Their most impressive work was the beautiful finished basement which added to the overall ambience of the whole home. During the staging, I focused on adding light, furniture with minimal accessories to draw attention to the features of the home.

The highlight for me after every staging is seeing the homeowners reactions when they see their house completely staged. This homeowner particularly had a ‘reveal moment’ when he couldn’t believe he was in his then-empty basement, now beautifully staged and ready for its future buyers.
